On Tuesday the 14th of May, Ecole du Centre’s students participated in the regional finals for the English Speaking Union’s Spelling Bee. Kylian Appadoo from 6ème, Nilesh Ramnawaz from 5ème, Rushil Seechurn from 4ème and Constance Desvaux from 3ème had all been victorious in their own grade finals here at school. They represented our school brilliantly, competing against all the other schools in our region including the MGI and the Bocage, all Englishmedium schools. All four students did exceptionally well but our star of the day was Nilesh Ramnawaz who beat all the other students to win the regional final! He was also victorious last year making this the second year in a row that Nilesh wins the ESU’s regional Spelling Bee! Congratulations to Nilesh who will now represent Ecole du Centre at the National finals in June.
