Great success for Ecole du Centre in The Big Challenge competition with one of our students 1st in the world!
During the past few weeks many of our students from CM1 to 3ème participated in an online English competition called The Big Challenge. The Big Challenge is designed by Cambridge University for pupils learning English in French schools. Schools in France, Europe and across the world took part with over half a million participants. The results have arrived and we are thrilled to see how well our students did! The competition average was 193/350 and Ecole du Centre’s average was 287, almost 100 points higher!
Not only did we do well overall but many pupils scored exceptional results individually. Here are just a few of our amazing achievements.
3ème: Corentin Mamet – 1st in the region, 12th in the world.
4ème: Alix Blanc – 1st in the region, 10th in the world.
5ème: Mathias Robert – 1st in the region, 5th in the world.
6ème: Muhammad Shimjee – 1st in the region, 1ST IN THE WORLD!!
CM2: Ahana Jankee & Izaera Purbhoo – 1st in the region, 3rd in the world.
CM1: Zoha Chady & Mayra Arlandoo – 1st in the region, 3rd in the world.
